The shortened 2020 race season is winding down and the Championship battles are heating up as race fans enjoyed another great night of double feature racing at Elko Speedway on Saturday night.

In the first NASCAR Late Models Advance Auto Parts premiere division 25 lap feature event #52 Chad Walen took the early lead before being challenged by #40 Michael Beamish for the top spot. As the laps counted down ninth-starting fast-qualifier #72 Jacob Goede and sixth-starting #8 Billy Mohn worked their way up to join the front running duo as #3 Chris Marek from Lakeville (MN) rounded out the top five. With two laps remaining a wreck up-front happened that resulted in both Walen and Mohn leaving the track for repairs and Goede ended up at the back of the pack. On the first attempted restart Goede was caught in a wreck and he also had to pit for repair. Chad Walen then returned to the track just as the race restarted again. The green-white-checker finish saw Chris Marek pass Michael Beamish on the high side with one to go and he held on to win by only 0.154 seconds. It was the second win of the season for Marek.
